Things are heating up at The Bot Platform now that summer is in full swing. From new bot templates and product features to highlights from Transform by Workplace, here’s the latest news from this month at TBP.

Ennismore and Citizens Advice #Winning

At Transform London, two of our customers won themselves very well deserved awards. Citizens Advice Bureau came runner up while the team over at Ennismore were awarded Best Workplace Integration for their bot, PEEPS, which allows team members to search for and book rooms at The Hoxton, at the employee rate. Through an integration with their booking platform, the bot searches and offers availability based on chosen location and dates. It can also offer alternative options if the requested dates aren’t available and, most importantly, it handles the entire booking from start to finish, including credit card payment and confirmation.

On top of winning Best Integration, Marcos Eleftheriou, Head of Culture & Internal Communications at Ennismore, was also recognized as an Exemplary Chief Workplace Officer – and we couldn’t agree more. Congratulations Ennismore and Marcos!

LeadingAgile Case Study

As a company centered around business agility, LeadingAgile were looking for a way to automate and scale their onboarding process for new hires. Using The Bot Platform they’ve built solutions that help with training new staff, provide health and wellness education, and gather staff feedback via post onboarding surveys. In doing so, they’ve been able to save their employees large amounts of time, increase front-line staff engagement, and improve staff productivity.

When it comes to event management, you can spend hours of your week setting up pre and post-event communication. Even with all of that precious time used, there is no guarantee anyone will even open your email.

Our friends over at Moët recently launched their Summer House Messenger bot to drive attendees to their one of a kind members’ club annual rendez-vous.

Bot users were able to get information on all things Moët Summer House including champagne tastings, fine dining experiences, and live music. Users could then book a ticket for their favorite session right within the bot, welcoming users to the wonderful world of Moët and Chandon.

AICP Community Award Winner

Nike has won the first ever “AICP Community Award” for its “Dream Crazier” submission, produced by Somesuch, Wieden+Kennedy and directed by Kim Gehrig. Nike was selected from the top 10 pieces of shortlisted work in the AICP Show’s Advertising Excellence category, and voting took place via a Messenger bot built using The Bot Platform. Memorial Health

When you’re working within a large organization, ensuring company-wide initiatives and messages make it to 5,000+ employees can be a struggle. Our friends over at Memorial Health solved this problem with the recent launch of their Clear Vision bot. Sent to 6,425 people, this bot aimed to combat common large-scale communication problems by announcing the launch of their company’s new five-year plan.

We’ve been working hard to continuously add to our platform, and have recently pushed various updates to improve our analytics and reporting.

Analytics improvements

We understand that someone reading a message from your bot can be just as valuable as an interaction, which is why we have now added an ‘active people’ statistic. This metric shows you the number of people who have read a message from the bot within a specified time period. As we now track this number, the ‘engagements per person’ metric has changed from being calculated from engaged people (previously unique users) to active people. These updates will help bot admins better understand the true impact of broadcasts and messages sent via their bots, and provide a deeper view into bot usage statistics.

Email verification

Security and privacy are really important to us at The Bot Platform. As such we have been making the platform even more secure. As part of this, we’ve recently pushed out a new email address verification process to help ensure admin access is as secure as possible.

On top of new bot launches, customer news and product updates, we’ve also had plenty of other things going on too!

Transform London + NYC

At Transform London and New York, we were honored to be invited by our friends at Workplace to talk on stage about all things bot related and how automation can help you optimize your instance and solve day to day communication problems.

While in London, our very own Jon Cox and Benji Airdrie joined Jennifer Hunt on stage for their session on Bots for HR Automation.

After explaining what bots are and the benefits they can have on your business, attendees got an inside look into the bot building process as Jon and Benji built a New Starter Onboarding bot live on stage.

Across the pond in NYC, The Bot Platform’s Robert Jackson teamed up with Ed Huang from Workplace for another brilliant talk on how bots can optimize your Workplace instance and delved into various use-cases that we’ve seen work time and time again.

The Bot Academy

In pursuit of our mission, to help people be more productive at work, we also teamed up with Workplace by Facebook at the end of May to kick off our very first Bot Academy in London!

With a full room of attendees, 30 people went from zero to bot in just four hours. Our team of specialists alongside Workplace solution architects walked through how to plan and build a Workplace bot and offered best practices and learnings along the way.

At the end of the session, attendees were able to bring back a customized bot for their organization that could be launched on their own Workplace instance.

We had people ranging from IT Directors to non-tech-savvy Engagement Officers, all of which left our Bot Academy with a specific business problem solved. Thirty happy people from companies like The Hyde Group, Kering, Paddy Power and Generation Digital can now be more productive at work with bots on Workplace after attending the Bot Academy.
